We want to assure you that Nepal is a year-round destination, with each season having its own unique beauty and cultural celebrations. If your primary goal is trekking in the mountains, it’s generally advised to avoid the monsoon season (June till August). However, there are some rain shadow areas that offer excellent trekking experiences during these months. For exploring the Himalayas, the peak seasons are spring (March till May) and autumn (September till November). The weather in the southern part of Nepal is pleasant during winter (December till February) and hot during the monsoon. Despite the heat, the monsoon months are still a great time to visit the south if you wish to spot wild animals, as they tend to gather around waterholes, making them easier to find.
